Shipping, Returns and Store Policy

Customer Service

Fernell Show Jumps is totally committed to customer satisfaction and we pride ourselves on our reputation for quality and service. We will try our best to make your ordering as easy and as fast as possible.

 

Fernell Show Jumps complies with GPDR, any personal information given to us is done at the individuals permission. Information will not be shared with others unless delivery has been requested. On requesting delivery, you are agreeing to particular personal details being shared with a third party so that your order can be delivered. Once your order is completed we will retain your details for a 30-day satisfaction period, after this time Fernell Show Jumps will assume the order is to your liking and your details will be deleted from file.

Shipping 

Please request delivery costs before purchasing any Fernell Show Jumps items.

Local delivery to Chesterfield Derbyshire can be carried out by ourselves, with a car and trailer. Local delivery is classed at 40 miles radius from Chesterfield, with delivery cost of £25.00 flat rate plus £0.45/mile round trip. On larger orders delivery can be at a reduced cost.

 

We work with a number of trusted couriers and in accepting their delivery charge you are also agreeing to you personal details being passed onto the courier. We will endeavour to find you the best price for your delivery, but this can take a few days.

Payment

Either a 50% pre-payment which is a non-refundable deposit, or the full amount is required up on ordering your Fernell Show Jumps item(s). If 50% pre-payment is your preferred way then the balance is due prior to dispatch of delivery or if collecting in person either before collection or on collection.

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cheque or Cash.

Acceptance of contracts


After you have viewed the goods you would like to order and have placed your order, contracts are only accepted after you have received confirmation of your order from us.
In the unlikely event that we cannot supply the goods ordered we will offer you an alternative which may be at a higher price, or we will offer you a full refund.
Work will not start on your order until we have received pre-payment from you be it 50% or the full amount.
UK law is applicable.

Return & Cancellation Policy

Returns Policy


In the unlikely event that as a private consumer you are not totally satisfied with any goods purchased, please inform us, in writing within 7 days, starting on the day after the goods are delivered to you, and we will give you a replacement or refund. The goods must be returned to us unused and wherever possible in the original packaging, together with your receipt or original invoice. We recommend that you keep all the packaging until you are sure you intend to keep the goods. If the original packaging is not available you should use packaging that will offer the same level of protection. (Please not carriage costs will only be refunded if the item is faulty or if it differs in any way from the advertised good, otherwise Fernell Show Jumps will not bear the costs of returned goods).
Refunds will not be made for goods made to customers personal specifications unless faulty or different to those ordered.
Please ensure you order the size appropriate for the intended use.

Cancellation Policy

If as a private customer you wish to cancel your order you may do so within 7 working days of us starting your order, if you cancel your order the 50% non-refundable deposit will not be refunded. Cancellation once delivered can be complete within 7 days of receiving your order, you must ensure you take reasonable care of the goods and return them to Fernell Show Jumps in protective packaging and you will be responsible for the costs of the return of goods.
If you decide to cancel a refund will be made within 30 days of the receipt of your written cancellation and the return of goods so we can check the condition. Our standard cancellation policy does not apply to customised goods or those built to customer specifications.

Returns policy for faulty goods and goods different to those advertised.
If you inform us within a short period of time we will offer to collect the goods and refund your money or if you wish we will replace the goods. If more than a short period has passed before you inform us of the problem we will offer a repair or replacement, if the goods cannot be repaired we will refund your money. Refunds may be reduced if you have used the item or have had it for some time.

Timber properties and after care

Please note timber is a natural product and as such is prone to shrinkage, expansion, to some degree shaking and natural defects in the face or structure. 

All our jumps and equipment are treated with weatherproof paint, as this paint has not been tested by ourselves we cannot guarantee the longevity of the paint. With this is mind we recommend bringing your Fernell Show Jump inside or undercover during bad weather, and treating them at least once a year with either weatherproof stain, weatherproof clear varnish or weatherproof paint to help maintain and keep your equipment in its best condition.
